What does Greenway Carpet Care's process include?

1. Pre-vacuuming to extract the dry dirt containing dust and mites, hair, sand, dead skin, pet dander and other allergens.
2. Pre-treatment of spots and stains by hand with our natural cleaners. If necessary and with your permission, we may need to use a stronger cleaner, especially for pet stains. The chemicals will be neutralized when we perform the dry-extraction cleaning.
3. Thorough dry-extraction cleaning which absorbs and dissolves dirt, grease, stains, and pollutants.
4. Final vacuuming to extract all debris.
5. Spot cleaning any remaining stains by hand.
6. Carpet grooming to lift and fluff carpet fiber.
7. Final walkthrough with the customer to be sure they are satisfied.

Why should I choose green cleaning?

Standard carpet cleaning formulas contain a combination of harsh chemical solvents and detergents. After cleaning, harmful residues remain in your carpet and circulate throughout the air. This "toxic soup" affects the health of every member of your family, especially small children and pets. How often should carpet be cleaned?

Carpet acts as a giant air filter. It traps chemicals, pet dander, smoke, mold spores, dust and mites, heavy metals, and other pollutants in your home. If you did not have carpet, they would be circulating in the air, which is worse. Regardless, exposure to these pollutants can pose health risks and contribute to respiratory disease, allergies, and asthma. If your objective is a healthy indoor environment, it is essential to vacuum frequently with a good microfiltration system and have your carpets cleaned 2 to 4 times per year with a steam-free natural method.

Any tips on stain removal?

While you can purchase our product to remove stains and keep your carpets fresh between cleaning, it is important to keep the following in mind. With liquid spills, immediately blot (do not rub) the area with a towel or paper towels until all moisture is removed. You can then add club soda or water and a small amount of mild dishwashing detergent. Continue to blot until the stain is gone. If you ignore stains, they will set deep into your carpet and be very difficult to permanently remove.
