DIY Windshield Washer Fluid - The Green Way

Published: July 17, 2014

The owners and staff at Greenway Carpet Care were talking about alternatives to commercial windshield wiper fluid, which is full of toxic chemicals that pollute the earth. We have made our own for years - it works as good as the blue stuff and is super cheap and easy. Following are 3 recipes for making your own windshield washer fluid:

#1 - Gallon of water and 1 Tablespoon of dish soap (not for cold weather)

#2 - Combine equal parts of vinegar and water (works as anti-freeze)

#3 - Mix 3 cups of rubbing alcohol with 10 cups of water and 1 Tablespoon of detergent powder (also an anti-freeze)
